We have had 2 rabid raccoons, righ...Be SO careful! We have had 2 rabid raccoons, right on our porch, hubby killed them both, and they both tested positive. One bit our dog, and although doggie was fine because she was updated on her rabies, all of us touched doggies fur that was wet with the rabid saliva, and we ALL (including my little ones) had to get the rabies series.
