Old Stone Fort in Schoharie
Sunday, October 01, 2006
After our excursion to the Living History Weekend in German Flatts, we made the lengthy drive out to beautiful Schoharie, NY. Our destination: The Old Stone Fort and Museum.
The Stone Fort was originally built as a Dutch Reformed Church in 1772. It became a garrison during the Revolution, and an armory during the Civil War. It is a truly fascinating museum! Read the post with numerous photos at New York Traveler.net.
