The folks who run Fort Stanwix are just incredible. We go every year, and every year they are friendly, talkative, and cheery; and it's a blast to share the past with them. I rave so much about the Fort, that I'd probably qualify in a best affiliate program for them, if they had one! I recommend this park as a prime tourist stop if you are visiting
Fort Stanwix National Monument is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the park is free. Activities are ongoing unless noted. For more information about upcoming events please call the park at (315) 338-7730. Please visit the park’s web page at www.nps.gov/fost for additional information about the park and up-to-date news about park events.
For you genealogists out there, this is a great website about Fort Stanwix, by the Daughters of the American Revolution. And here is the city of Rome's page about the Fort.
