Spring in Upstate New York

Monday, April 26, 2010

The flowers are blooming now (finally), undeterred by the forecasts of frost- and freeze-warnings. My daughter took some nice photos of the floral activity in Upstate New York.

I can't wait to get the vegetable garden planted. I'm looking forward to trying out a few new varieties this year. Nothing scientific like prototype 37c or whatever... just some red cabbage and etc.

I love gardening. We only have a few months to do it, in Upstate, so that explains why it consumes like it does at this time of the year.

My beds are tilled and ready for seeds... we're waiting just a little longer until this blasted cold front leaves us. *sigh*

We're waiting too seems like Western NY has been a little unpredictable with the surprise colder nights.
