Verona Beach State Park, NY

I didn't know that Verona Beach State Park was named one of the Top 100 campgrounds in the nation. We visited the park last week, and understand why. We had a great time!
As many of you know, we Mecombers have been working very hard on our latest home renovations projects: the rewiring of the house and the renovation of the Living Room. We took a day off the work to visit Oneida Lake.
You can read more about our interesting visit, here at New York Traveler.net!

Years ago we had a cottage at Sylvan Beach - if it's still there you drove by it on your way to lunch. We never ventured down to Verona Beach but it sounds like a perfect spot to take the grandkids sometime. We always loved the huge waves at that end of the lake. The drive along the north shore is pretty, haven't done that in awhile either. Unless they've built a new one, the closest McD's is on 13 at the thruway entrance in Canastota, across from the Boxing Hall of Fame.
Love your site with a lot of useful information. Thanks for sharing this with the world. I did not know about Verona beach but the scenes from the shots are beautiful. I have only visited Jones Beach State Park during my recent trip to NYC.
I love your site because I am a native New Yorker.. there's a lot of wonderful things to see and do in New York State.
Upstate New York is just beautiful country.
Thanks for visiting! Apple, thanks for the input. I'll remember it next time!
Mr. Tsuj, just like Judy says, Upstate New York is beautiful country. New York City tends to get all the attention, but I think Upstate is the real jewel of the state!
