Snow At Last in Central New York
Wednesday, December 28, 2011
I was really starting to wonder if we'd EVER see snow this season. Our weather has been absolutely crazy, just crazy. Multiple floods, tornadoes, earthquakes, and now a winter with mild temperatures and no snow?! Weird things have been happening here in Upstate New York.
You know it's bad when even the most die-hard snow haters are hoping for a few flakes.
Well, looks like we don't have to crack open the boxes of summer clothing and re-install the removable pool fence -- we finally got snow!!!
A paltry amount, I know. But hey- beggars can't be choosers!
It's blowing like mad, so the wind hasn't forgotten about winter. It's only 25 degrees, though, not very cold by my NYS standards. And even though tiny little flakes are still falling, I think this is all the accumulation we'll see. Wow, what does this make for us now-- 1 inch for the whole season so far?
How has your weather been? Unusual? 2011 was a year of the craziest weather I can remember. Here's hoping 2012 gets better.
It's lovely to see a little snow, better than none, which is what we have here. Some change from last year, when we were snowed in for 3 weeks!
